30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 17

Day 17: Where you have travelled

I am not one for travelling. I have always been a home bird, I love being in the house too much to go out. It’s also a money thing. You need money to travel and I am not the best at saving up for anything.

I went to Majorca on a family holiday when I was 8, but I can’t really remember it that well. I remember some of it but I’m not sure what is actually my memory and what I’ve just seen in videos and pictures.

When I was in Year 8 I went on a school trip to France. I didn’t like this much, I was bullied a lot in school, so just because we were in a different country doesn’t mean they are suddenly going to be nice to me. We were all 12/13 at the time and full of hormones. I’m pretty sure everybody cried at least one during this trip so I would love to go to France again, to have a better experience there.

Skipping forward almost 10 years when I went to Italy with 2 friends. They went inter-railing throughout all of July and I flew out to meet them in Venice. We stayed there for 5 days then went to Rome for 5 days. I want to make a post about my time in Italy so I’m not going to say much here.

That’s literally all of the places I’ve been. I have travelled to places in the U.K, like Edinburgh and Somerset, but not very often. I’m planning on going to Amsterdam with a friend for New Year, which should be really good.

I would love to be someone who just travels the world, but realistically, I don’t think that’s going to happen. However, my aim for 2019 is to travel more.
