So, so sorry that I missed yesterday! Work was crazy and I just didn’t have time to do it. I’m back now though with day 9 and 10, meaning we are officially in double digits!
Day 9: Put your music on shuffle, what are the first 10 songs?
Day 10: What are your thoughts on mainstream music?
Luckily these fit quite nicely together so it isn’t a problem to group them in one post.
The 10 songs that came on shuffle are:
- Black Magic – Little Mix
- Back to You – Selena Gomez
- Thank You For The Music – Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia Soundtrack)
- Nancy Mulligan – Ed Sheeran
- Hooked on a Feeling – Blue Swede
- Work it Out – High School Musical 2
- Wherever You Will Go – Charlene Soraia
- That Don’t Impress Me Much – Shania Twain
- Come Alive – The Greatest Showman
- Hear Me – Imagine Dragons
So my music taste is quite varied and there isn’t much that I won’t listen to. I like listening to move soundtracks, whether they have got words or not (my favourites include Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean). As I work in a school I have seen my fair share of children’s TV and movies, which I have to be honest about, the soundtracks aren’t too bad, they’re very catchy. For example, we watched Trolls not that long ago and I like all the songs from that.
I have a lot of Disney in my playlists, as well as songs from musicals like Mamma Mia!, The Greatest Showman and Hairspray.
There are some music types that I don’t like and won’t listen to, like heavy metal and dubstep. As for mainstream music, there are some artists that I don’t really care about in the Top 40. I honestly cannot stand Drake and Kanye West, so their music always gets skipped when I’m listening to the charts, as well as others similar to them. I know K-Pop seems to be getting popular, if my twitter is anything to go off, but I’m not really a fan of it.
I listen to a lot of 80s, 90s and 00s music as well, I find these to be more my style. I can remember my discos in primary school to alway have the likes to S Club 7 and Spice Girls, they were great back then and they still are now.
I got in to Classic Rock since my older brother is really in to it and because it is featured heavily in a show I used to watch religiously; Supernatural.
I saw this tweet and it pretty much sums up this post:
